
Here are some pictures of a painting I worked on & completed last week. The concept is based off looking through a widow at the landscape & depicting what you see (either real or imagined), while including the influence of the window panes that affect the colours of each part of the visual field.
Originally the border & the "window panes" that separate each of the colours were supposed to be black. In the end I chose to leave out the window panes because I felt they would make the image look more like a stained glass, which is not what I was going for. Also, they would detract from the beautiful things that are going on with the texture of the moon.
This is going to become a great spring board for my upcoming series. I love frisket.
